AddressThe role:
Under the direction of IPWU clinical staff, monitor clients undergoing the detoxification process.
Assist staff in the admission and discharge process by fulfilling delegated tasks.
Ensure safety precautions are always followed for clients.
Help the clients in completing relevant documentation; making relevant phone calls as required; and scheduling appointments with external service providers.
- Provide support and information to Community Sector Organisations or other government organisations, as required.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing asap until 25 May 2025.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Drug Work from a recognised training provider
- Current First Aid Certificate from a recognised training provider
- Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- Identification check
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
