The Role:
This Developer Programmer role is for a full-time role with an annual salary of $70,000- $80,000+ Superannuation and will be based at their Melbourne office.
?The Responsibilities:
Investigate various cloud platforms and services (such as those offered by Google, Microsoft, and VMware) to evaluate their suitability for new and existing projects, aligning with Oreta's partnership ecosystem.
Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand and analyse requirements for network solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives and leverage Oreta's expertise and partnerships.
Proactively identify security vulnerabilities within software applications and network systems, proposing and implementing robust solutions to mitigate risks, in line with partnerships with Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
Build, deploy, and maintain scalable and efficient applications on cloud platforms, utilizing Oreta's cloud services expertise and partner technologies.
Create scripts and tools to automate network configuration, management, and deployment tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability of network services.
Utilize tools and technologies from partners like Cisco and Palo Alto to implement and manage cybersecurity measures within software and network solutions.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software and network solutions within established protocols to ensure performance and reliability.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation and user guides for software applications and network configurations, facilitating ease of use and maintenance.
Offer guidance and expertise in the design and architecture of software and network solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with customer needs.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for the automated testing and deployment of software applications and network configurations.
Collect and analyse performance metrics from software applications and network services to identify improvement opportunities and ensure optimal operation.
Create and refine tools that support the efficient management and operation of software and network services, enhancing Oreta's service offerings.
Conduct forensic analysis in the event of security incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Provide insights and recommendations on technology strategies, software purchases, and upgrades, considering financial implications and alignment with Oreta's technology partnerships and core values.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation and integration of ICT systems.
The Requirements:
At least a Bachelor Degree in Computer related discipline
At least 2 years relevant experience in systems design, programming and systems software and support
At least 2 years of relevant experience in software development, including experience in cloud-based solutions, network services, and cybersecurity
At least 2 years' experience in in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar, depending on project needs
At least 2 years' experience with implementing and managing security practices within software development life cycles (SDLC) and in cloud and network environments.
Must have 2 years of relevant experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and VMware, including their respective services and management tools
Development experience in an agile environment
Ability to work as part of a virtual team
Good communication skills
Design, codes, tests, corrects and documents large and/or complex programs and program from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
