As a result of this significant expansion and commitment within South Australia, the opportunity for an additional Development Manager has emerged within the SA office.
Villawood Properties is well known for its community focus in all its endeavours and has received more than 20 industry awards across community engagement, master-planning, design, landscaping, environment and lifetime achievement. The Villawood SA project portfolio includes:
- a successful development partner for the 52-hectare Oakden Rise site – unlocking significant benefits from one of the last large-scale infill development opportunities in metropolitan Adelaide;
- William Lakes, a 1,700-home development at Gawler Belt, north of Adelaide and part of the Roseworthy Township Expansion;
- St Andrews, a 700-lot project at Andrews Farm:
- a premium built form development at Seacliff Village;
- Morphettville Redevelopment project in partnership with Host Plus and SAJC.
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this key position is responsible for managing and developing Villawood’s property assets including the establishment and ongoing management of new property developments to achieve the Company’s strategic and commercial objectives. End-to-end accountability on smaller projects and a supportive role on varied larger projects will involve the appointee in leading project teams, project planning including sales, design and infrastructure construction, extensive consultation with diverse internal and external stakeholders and partners, managing negotiations, agreements and contracts with wide ranging authorities and agencies and financial analysis, forecasting, performance and reporting in line with financial management targets.
Applications are encouraged from tertiary qualified candidates (construction, civil, property development, financial, project management or a related discipline) with previous experience in managing projects involving civil or built form design or construction. Experience in managing contracts and projects for medium to large scale projects and leading staff, project teams and consultants will be required. Commercial acumen, financial management capability and accomplished communication and relationship management abilities will be key to success in this position.
