We are seeking a talented Business Development Manager, with a passion for the nuclear sector to join our team to generate new business opportunities and lead strategic sales pursuits.
Workplace Expectations and Typical Duties
Reporting directly to the Space and Nuclear Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager will focus on winning new business in the Nuclear sector by developing compelling proposals and tailored solutions to provide maximum value to new and existing clients. Roles and responsibilities include:
- Building strong and mutually beneficial customer and business relationships
- Delivering compelling proposals and presentations
- Developing customer-centric services and solutions
- Applying a disciplined approach to sales and Business Development
- Applying market knowledge to generate new business opportunities
- Develop relationships with key decision makers internally and externally to grow our business
- A proven track record of successful Business Development, sales and or project delivery in the Nuclear and/or National security sectors
- A nuclear mindset with experience in one or more of the following disciplines - nuclear engineering, nuclear physics, radiological protection and safeguards, decommissioning, safety case authoring or review, radioactive waste management and repository initiatives.
- Awareness of Export Control and ITAR obligations in relation to nuclear technology.
- Proposal development experience
- Experience in forming and leading multidisciplinary team across multiple geographies
- Willingness to travel and support customer visits and strategy workshops.
Bachelor's or higher degree in business, management and or an engineering discipline relevant to the nuclear sector complemented with 5-10 years of nuclear experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Clearance
Hold or the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Attendance
This is a full-time permanent position however, there is flexibility on the hours. Work may be required after hours and on weekends to meet deadlines, and sometimes on short notice. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical job requirements.
This role can be done from any of the following major cities - Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth
