About the role:
Reporting to our Marketing and Communications Lead, you will be excited to work in a broad role with amazing visibility of the overall business (this is one of the benefits of working in a small office environment). You will support our digital growth strategy and coordinate group communications, as well as contributing to activities across events, publications and general marketing.
Examples of your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Communicating effectively and diligently with internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Collaborating with suppliers and members to create digital acquisition and sales out campaigns.
- Researching trends and customer preferences to develop relevant, quality, and engaging digital content that aligns with the business’ brand guidelines and strategy.
- Creating social media assets and captions.
- Adding/designing/updating content for the Gemcell website using CMS, keeping user experience in mind.
- Coordinating pipeline digital initiatives as they develop.
- Assisting in the coordination and development of our industry-leading magazine including pre-press production checks.
- Coordinating the group’s events calendar, liaising with venues and creating collateral.
- Coordinating the group’s loyalty program.
- Contributing to general administration.

- 2 years’ experience in digital marketing.
- Tertiary marketing qualifications (desirable).
- A helpful, considerate nature and drive to provide excellent service.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, supporting your ability to build and maintain quality working relationships.
- Creative flair and an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in social business platforms like Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn.
- Competency using content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Familiarity using website CMS, ideally WordPress.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Meta Advertising (desirable).
- Collaborative, self-motivated way of working.
- Developed time management, organisational and planning skills with the ability to adapt, work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with business events flexibility to assist in coordinating meetings and events.
