Full time / Fixed Term up until 31/12/2024Opportunity to support business school academics by designing, developing and assessing technology informed learning experiencesBase Salary $104,633 - $113,992+ 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Business School is seeking a creative and experienced Digital Learning Designer to join their team!As the Digital Learning Designer, you will work within a small, close knit team environment made up of 7 team members, with whom you will collaborate and liaise closely with. Outside the immediate team, you will collaborate closely with other Business Co-Design team members supporting Business School academics. You will do this by co-designing student-centred, technology-informed learning experiences.Your key responsibilities will be to:Support Business School academics by co-designing interactive learning experiences which are engaging and pedagogically sound for both blended and online deliverywork closely with academics and educational developers to identify learning delivery options, then design and embed these in the context of a technology-enabled environmentintegrate Digital learning in targeted curriculum areas to meet the teaching needs of the Business School and University educational strategiessupport teaching staff in the areas of online, hybrid, and interactive learning, including enhancing the use of the University’s Learning Management System (Canvas) and associated pluginsundertake ongoing exploration of new technologies, innovations and developments to enhance interactive learning approaches and student-centred learning experiences.About youHold tertiary qualifications in an area relevant to Learning Design (Undergraduate minimum)professional experience working as a Learning Designer in a tertiary education environment or equivalent (higher education, secondary education, vocational or equivalent)experience in adapting, designing and/or co-developing content for technology- enabled learning environmentsdemonstrated experience in using interactive tools and plug-ins to create, build and enhance educational deliveryability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily workagile problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaAustralian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.Pre-employment checksYour employment is conditional upon the completion of all roles required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
