The Opportunity

Are you passionate about Digital Marketing and event planning? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Digital Marketing and Events Coordinator at Falls Creek Alpine Resort!

Falls Creek Alpine Resort is part of Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV), an entity formed to manage Victoria's six alpine resorts. ARV aims to enhance the resorts' economic resilience and long-term sustainability, driving industry collaboration and acting as a unified voice of the sector. The alpine sector significantly contributes to regional economies, attracting millions of visitors and sustaining thousands of jobs.

Role Purpose:

As the Digital Marketing and Events Coordinator, your purpose will be to plan, coordinate, and execute Digital Marketing campaigns and Events for Falls Creek. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting the resort's products and services, increasing brand awareness, and engaging with our target audience through various Digital Marketing channels.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assisting in the development and execution of Digital Marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, search engine marketing, and content marketing.
  • Supporting the planning, marketing, and execution of resort events.
  • Creating and managing content for the company website, social media accounts, and other digital channels.
  • Analysing and reporting on the performance of Digital Marketing campaigns and Events using metrics such as website traffic and engagement rates.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing Digital Marketing campaigns on FCAR's owned digital channels, including social media, email marketing, and website.
  • Maintaining and updating digital channels in a timely manner.
  • Managing the resort's social media presence, including content development, engagement monitoring, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Tracking and reporting on Digital Marketing metrics such as website traffic and social media engagement.
  • Supporting other marketing efforts, such as developing destination collateral, PR, and media activity.
  • Content development and copywriting for various platforms, including media releases, blog posts, and collateral.
  • Working with the Event Supervisor with planning, marketing, and executing resort events.
  • Organising and managing the resort's asset library.
  • Assisting with customer service inquiries via telephone, in-person, email, and social media as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Qualities:

  • Understanding of Digital Marketing techniques and strategies, including email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing. Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and PPC is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using Google Analytics and other analytical tools to track website traffic and campaign performance.
  • Familiarity with event planning, coordination, and stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of the Australian alpine resort industry, including seasonal patterns, key competitors, and target demographics.
  • Knowledge of Adobe design suite is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate IV in marketing, communications, or digital media marketing, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Proven work experience of a minimum of 1-3 years in marketing/communications, ideally with a tourism focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting and editing.
    Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

When: An immediate start is available. This is a full time ongoing role, however we would consider a short term winter season contract for the right person.

Where: Onsite at Falls Creek Alpine Resort – due to the nature of the role, this role cannot be offered in a remote arrangement.
