About the role
The Digital Marketing Officer plays a part in helping to create our vibrant and growing region by delivering council’s social media campaigns and initiatives. You will support the planning, content development, engagement, and reporting of council’s social media platforms, ensuring it aligns to council’s brand, increases engagement and achieves council's objectives.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo shoot content
- Collaborate with marketing services and other internal teams to plan social media activity to align to priority campaigns
- Execute social media buy strategies to reach target audiences, develop influencer strategies, manage communities and monitor content success
- Build followers and audience engagement for our channels
- Develop analytical reporting with actionable insights to improve content performance
- Manage core social media platforms and content developers to produce highly engaging and relevant content
About you
You will bring excellent communication and content development skills along with a strong understanding of the social media landscape. You will be confident to deliver new engaging content ideas, be proficient with data analysis to track key analytics on social media performance and:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a digital, marketing, communications, public relations, or similar discipline and/or substantial experience
- 2+ years of experience managing social media campaigns and multiple channels
- Experience in social media content production, including shareable posts, video, images, and graphics

This is a permanent full-time position at level 5 with a salary commencing at $93,169 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
