The Role
As the Director of Digital, Data and Information you will be leading a team which is responsible for the overall development and implementation of Information Technology plans and services. You will be coming into this government agency to help streamline processes within the business and technology and be able to make decisions so that governance arrangements are in place. There will be 80 - 100 reports into this role.
This organisation is going to embark on a state of change and restructure.
- You will lead and develop our client's IT and records management team, improve efficiency, governance and overall IT security.
- You will be developing, delivering and implementing initiatives to improve service management and streamline business processes against the organisations values and objectives.
- You will be enhancing our client's project management, data, reporting and analytics capabilities, enhancing insights and decision making.
- You will be across the deliver of our client's information security initiatives.
- You will be a member of the leadership team, where you will providing guidance on our clients strategic direction and implementing strategies across the board.
- You will champion change, positive cultures and modelling the corporate values.
My client is looking for someone who has previously gone through a restructure/merger ideally in an government agency already and done so, successfully. Ideally you will have experience at the Director level in the Victorian state government.
You will be someone who has managed a large IT function, run BAU and delivered PMO projects. You will have the capacity to change processes and been through a merger/restructure to reconsolidate systems. You will be able to drive strategic direction and build team culture.
Responsibilities will include:
- Proven experience as a Director of Technology at the senior leadership level within the public sector and/or public policy environments, and managing large technology teams.
- Strong experience and understanding of relevant corporate services to help support infrastructure development and delivery.
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or extensive practical experience at a senior level.
- Strong experience across stakeholder engagement management. For example, demonstrating capability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Proven experience creating a positive, organisational culture and championing people engagement as a priority.
- Experience being able to provide insight and guidance around capability development across the infrastructure sector.
- Strong experience delivering strategic direction of transformational transport infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience driving and implementing change.
