The Position:
We are seeking an innovative and engaging Director of Nursing with highly developed interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to embrace our organisational values, culture and mind set. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering nursing care underpinned by evidence-based practice in a safe working environment. You will have an outcome-focused, ‘continuous quality improvement’ mindset, and play a pivotal role in the operation of this unique private hospital.
This is a great opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager / Nurse Unit Manager, who is willing to step up into a management role and lead and empower an engaging team.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board
- 3-5 years’ experience in senior nursing or management position
- Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills
- A demonstrated history of managing and mentoring staff, reflective in a consultative leadership style
- An ability to build rapport and effective relations with key stakeholders
- Able to demonstrate business development activity
- The ability to strategically plan and positively implement change
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Quality management Systems and the ACQSHC National Standard requirements for accreditation
- Previous experience with LARU Licensing Standards will be highly regarded
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
