About the Role
We are looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals across South Eastern Sydney and South Western Sydney suburbs. You will have the opportunity to work casual shifts, within a supportive team environment while also having the autonomy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with personal health, fostering social connections, developing domestic skills and maintaining documentation, as well as:
- Community Access Support: Assist clients in accessing their local community, participating in social activities, and building a sense of belonging.
- In Home Support: Support clients in developing their skills and attending to tasks at home (including personal hygiene, household and domestic chores, booking and attending appointments etc.)
- Independent Living Skill Development: Help individuals acquire and enhance essential life skills, promoting greater independence and self-sufficiency.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, supporting participants across ages from youth to elderly
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine desire to support people with additional needs using a person-centered approach
- Willingness to travel both locally and interstate (with accommodation costs covered)
Requirements
To apply for this role, you must have the following:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check conducted within the last 6 months
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
- Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car)
- A nationally recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care)
