- Salary: $75,430 to $79,070 – ASO4 – Full Time / Ongoing appointment
Overview:
The Disaster Management Support Officer is accountable to the Director for:
- Operational business planning, and management of human resource administration, preparing briefings, letters and reports for DMB.
- Facilitating and coordinating the provision of professional and confidential business support to DMB.
- Providing administrative support and executive officer support to a range of committees as required.
- Ensuring access to, and the administration of, operational Disaster Management systems that support incidents (ICT applications, distribution lists, rosters and building accesses for example).
- Monitoring and leading continuous improvement in key branch operational processes and administrative systems.
- Drafting workforce and organisation structure related correspondence for Senior Management.
- Undertaking project and investigative work when required.
- Provide business administrative support to Incidents or Emergencies under the direction of the incident manager or commander.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent may be required to participate in an after-hours on-call roster; some out-of-hours work will be required.
- Intrastate/interstate travel may be required.
- Must be ready and willing to assist in managing disease outbreaks within the community which may include travel within South Australia.
