Why your Role Matters
As Senior Development Manager, Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy you'll play a leading role in growing and diversifying UNSW's philanthropic revenue streams from institutional donors across trusts, foundations and corporations.
Partnering with the Director of Development, you'll leverage long-term relationships and manage a portfolio of 50 high-value grant funders and corporate foundation partners to achieve our key fundraising targets. Bringing your deep understanding of foundation/corporate relations, you'll drive the development and execution of effective strategies to cultivate existing funders and engage new philanthropic partners to support UNSW's strategic goals.
The Senior Development Manager, Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy reports to the Director of Development and has three direct reports.
Who you are:
You will hold a relevant qualification, or equivalent level of knowledge, and extensive experience in foundation/corporate relations, alongside:
- Proven track record of engaging successfully with national/international institutional donors with capacity of $1+ million to achieve set financial targets.
- Broad knowledge of the principles of fundraising, intuitional giving and tax laws that impact charitable giving, personal assets and estates.
- Drive to build and manage a robust pipeline of foundation and corporate prospects, securing invite-only proposal requests of $250k upwards.
- A motivated leader practiced in coaching and mentoring a high performing team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to negotiate and influence.
