The position:
We have a great opportunity for a Document Controller to take up a position based in our Adelaide office. As part of a close knit team, your role is to provide advice and support to our team of Engineers and Project Managers with the management and quality of all project documentation and implementation of internal and client nominated software systems.
You will have the ability to produce high quality work whilst managing numerous projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. In order to do this, you will require strong organisational skills combined with interpersonal and influencing abilities.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Set up, manage and maintain project filing systems
- Collate documentation in accordance with project requirements
- Check quality of document submissions and ensure they are compliant with processes, client requirements, revision conventions and formatting
- Record, check and track all incoming and outgoing documentation
- Ensure project teams have access to latest versions
- Provide document formatting support to ensure consistency with GPA brand requirements
- Train and mentor others on relevant processes and internal / external systems
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions
About you?
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with great attention to detail and the ability to deliver an extremely high standard of customer service to both internal and external clients. You must be able to establish and maintain professional and friendly relationships to work collaboratively with various teams. You will need to be flexible and willing to jump in where required.
The suitable candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in a document control position, preferably within Engineering or a similar industry and be a proactive and reliable self-starter. Advanced skills within the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel is required. The ability to learn rapidly and operate systems such as Aconex, TeamBinder, OpenText and MyPlant and familiarity with file transfer systems such as SharePoint is highly desirable. Document formatting and picking up grammatical or spelling errors must come as second nature.
