We are seeking a Document Controller to join our team in Brisbane. The role covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project's objectives. The Document Controller enables the smooth running of the project by supporting the project manager through the operation of project management processes, and the coordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf. The role is responsible for helping to achieve the business outcomes that are important to Glencore Technology. This role is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
You will be responsible for:
- Document Management processes, including Drawing and Document management and revision control.
- Tracking of project document status, standardising formats, ensuring our document management processes are adhered to, consistency of document control throughout the project
- Maintaining project-related document control registers
- Aiding and recording document flow to and from all necessary parties, including clients and suppliers/vendors
- Coordinate internal and vendor documentation, drawing control, transmittals, and engineering deliverables
- Issuing project documentation to internal and external stakeholders
- Project Support / Administration in the form of data analysing, data entry, electronic filing, distributing, filing and archiving.
- Assisting the projects team to prepare schedules and cost reports as required.
We are seeking someone with:
- Exposure to the Engineering Design and Delivery industry with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Document Control and / or Project Support role/s.
- Awareness of project management practices and in particular the general project lifecycle
- Good initiative and ability to prioritise tasks and works well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team, communicating with other team members regularly
- Ability to understand new processes quickly is necessary in this role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Project, Project Online, Altus, ProjectWise & Aconex will be highly regarded, however, it is not essential
- Previous experience/exposure to different Document Management Platforms.
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
