My client is a nationally-established Commercial Design Group that specialises in the design and delivery of interiors projects across the commercial mixed-use, corporate workplace, government, hotel & hospitality, retail, and health/leisure sectors.
With offices across Australia and Asia, this firm leverages strong relationships with a select group of retail/hotel brands, developers, commercial property firms, and financial institutions nationally, providing them with a consolidated pipeline of repeat/negotiated work.
The Role:
As Documentation Lead, you will work closely with the QLD Design Team, assisting with the end-to-end technical documentation process on projects. You will be responsible for the production of all project documentation throughout the design and construction phases. You will contribute to translating the respective client's design intent through the documentation process, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and ability to convert the scope into Revit delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist QLD Design Lead and Design/Project Delivery Teams in the development and production of technically accurate drawings, resulting in efficient delivery of major projects.
- Undertake production of project documentation in accordance with the technical project requirements and project scopes, delivering clear and concise documentation packages ready for construction.
- Collaborate with the respective Design/Project Delivery Teams and consultants to highlight and mitigate design/buildability issues, providing technical design resolutions when required, adhering to design requirements/standards and stakeholder correspondence
- 5 years’ experience (or equivalent) documenting in Revit, ideally on commercial interiors projects.
- Tertiary qualification in architecture or interior design, or similar
- Strong understanding of architectural documentation process and technical capabilities.
- Experienced in developing documentation for all phases of design and delivery, with consideration of Risk and Quality Management.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver full technical documentation packages on projects, providing technical design resolutions when required.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and design requirements.
