The Hellenic Club of Canberra has an exciting opportunity available to join our leadership team and we are seeking expressions of interest for the full-time position of a Duty Manager.

Your Role and Impact:
As a Duty Manager at the Hellenic club, you are not merely overseeing operations, you will also be an ambassador our brand. You will act as a mentor, guide, and pillar of support for our staff, ensuring they excel in their roles. Your guidance and expertise will empower our team, ensure operational excellence, and contribute to memorable experiences for everyone who engages with our venue.
Future Growth:
With the latest development approval, the Hellenic Club will be transitioning to a much larger entity with endless opportunities. Duty Managers are marked as key individuals to grow as the Club expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team with integrity and professionalism.
- Oversee and manage the Hellenic Clubs complete daily operations.
- Promote a foster a positive and effective team environment that inspires our staff to do the same.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to our members, guests, and your team members.
- Drive and promote a positive workplace culture.
Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates will be assessed on the following criteria.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or preferably managerial role.
- A proven record of motivating a team towards excellence.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of both HR and OH&S principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in training and mentoring team members.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Comprehensive understanding of ACT Gaming Machine Act and ACT Liquor Act.
- Flexibility to adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a rotating 7-day schedule, covering a mix of days, nights, and weekends.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverage, and gaming operations.
