The Faculty of Medicine and Health, Education Innovation & Design team are seeking a talented Education Design Support Officer to join the team. The Education Design Support Officer will work within a strong team to support education innovation in the faculty, and in the Sydney Medical School.
The Education Design Support Officer will partner with the Education Designers and academic staff to provide learning design solutions and that will bring to life course content and ensure excellent student learning experiences.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- design high-quality Canvas (LMS) sites and educational resources in collaboration with Education Designers and academic staff
- develop innovative online rich-media resources in close collaboration with academic and teaching staff
- provide effective solutions to teachers and professional staff colleagues using a range of technology platforms (Canvas, ECHO360, Zoom, SRES, Office365) to ensure excellent student learning experiences
- utilise a strong knowledge of online education technologies to support teaching staff in the faculty, and in the Sydney Medical School.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- demonstrate your LMS (learning management system) design skills, and familiarity with HTML
- demonstrate effective and tactful verbal and written communication skills
- use your excellent time and workload management skills and prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines
- possess strong skills in technical troubleshooting, and have the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement to pinpoint and resolve issues
- have capacity to develop your skills in creating rich media, video-based learning content and learn new apps and software (H5P, Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite)
- possess working knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment.
