The National EHS Manager will lead and work with Event Management, Resourcing, Commercial and Tooling teams to ensure compliance with EHS policies, programs, procedures and government standards. In this role you will develop and communicate policies and programs, conduct audits and onsite inspections and analyse data to provide recommendations for improving processes and programs creating NO HARM. You may be assigned to other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organisational values.
There is a requirement for intrastate, interstate and international travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide OHS ongoing guidance and support to Company Directors on the obligations and requirements in the Corporations Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act and other State and Federal Regulations, Codes of Practice Standards to ensure there are processes for delivering health and safety information to employees, processes for regulatory compliance, and methods for verification of the implementation and review of work health safety resources and risk control measures.
- Resolve a wide scope of complex EHS situations
- Provide Region EHS Director and Region General Manager with in-depth analysis of metrics and ways to improve safety policies and programs
- Coach, train, and mentor all operations leaders including but not limited to service managers, resource managers, field engineers, onsite safety specialists and craft supervisors
- Interface with GE and/or other customer regional and site safety and quality personnel to share best practices and solidify policies and procedures
- Be proactive in approach; leverage industry best practices into FieldCore
- Inform, educate, and drive awareness at all levels of Fieldcore about its safety policies and EHS standards
- Manage and respond to local country EHS audits and inspections
- Manage Site Safety Plans to ensure compliance with FieldCore EHS policies, customer and job specific requirements, and all government regulations
- Manage EHS incident and injury reporting within specified local country EHS guidelines and conduct timely follow up investigations and close outs
- Manage an Incident and Injury Prevention Plan to enable FieldCore’s NO HARM safety culture
- Attain and manage international accreditations as required to deliver the company’s regional strategy
- Ensure personal protective equipment meets the last-line-of-defense requirements of the task for hazard analysis and legislative requirements
- Partner with the training team to ensure that the EHS training provisions align with cultural, regional, and international requirements
- Assess and revise EHS training to ensure it meets the demands of customers, job specific requirements, and FieldCore’s safety standards
- Provide support to Site EHS Specialists.
- Measure, report, and achieve key metrics
- Assist with developing and implementing a quality and safety-oriented strategy across the region
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel is required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- At least Cert IV WHS Qualification, Diploma level is preferred;
- 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge in Environment, Health & Safety;
- 3+ years managing and developing employees;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Strong organisational, research and analytical skills;
- Ability to work under broad direction, exercise initiative and innovative in problem solving.
Desirable:
- Further relevant qualification in OH&S or related discipline;
- OSHA 50 certified knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and Process Safety
- Lead Investigator qualification (TAPROOT, TOPSET etc.);
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 etc.);
