This role is a 12 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Team
The Ecosystem Reform and Governance (ERG) Branch leads involvement in reforms to the disability ecosystem. The ERG Branch provides analysis and advice to inform and influence the development, negotiation and delivery of future-state intergovernmental agreements and programs that interact with the NDIS, ensuring these reforms restore the intent and integrity of the NDIS while enhancing outcomes for people with disability.
Responsibilities
Some of the requirements of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Developing comprehensive briefings that support Senior Executives to engage in disability ecosystem reform discussions with Governments and stakeholders, including developing briefing and correspondence for the Minister, Board, and the Executive.
- Ensuring performance and reporting requirements are met within timeframes and quality standards.
- Collaborating with other government agencies to implement reforms aligned with the needs of clients engaging with mainstream systems such as justice, child protection, health, housing, education, and transport.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting both structured and unstructured data to support informed decision-making.
- Engaging closely with other government departments through the Disability Reform Ministerial Council to formulate Commonwealth positions that enhance client outcomes.
- Soliciting and evaluating expert advice from diverse business sectors, shaping the agency's stance, and leading negotiations with external stakeholders to influence decision-making.
