Job description

Will you actively create a healthier future for tomorrow?

At Medibank we’re encouraged to think big. We have a clear purpose to impact better health outcomes for our customers, patients and our community.

We celebrate diversity of thought because we want to make better decisions for our customers. As we work towards our goal of better health for better lives, we value the knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.

We are on the hunt for an experienced and solutions focussed Marketing Manager to join our Essential Communications team on a permanent basis.  This role is an excellent opportunity to shape service and mandatory communication member experiences, with a focus on reducing complexity and streamlining processes.

This role will work with multiple internal stakeholders and SMEs to identify, design and deliver initiatives for CARE (Customer Assurance and Regulatory Essentials) programs of work that optimise and uplift member experiences and drive internal efficiencies.

It is an end-to-end role from discovery right through to delivery and is a balance of speedy process optimisation and future focused member communication and experience design. This includes digital, self-service, triggered and direct communications.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Deciding if your day is best spent working from home or the office. We don’t go for mandated office attendance here at Medibank, but we will need you to come along to team days and events when they’re on.

  • Design and deliver new strategies and initiatives centred on solving member and business problems, including working alongside Customer Experience to connect CARE initiatives into core service journeys.

  • Translating complex concepts into compelling member and business solutions and work with a range of stakeholders including marketing, fulfilment, data, digital, frontline and platforms that support member experiences.

  • Cutting to the chase. You’ll need to be able to analyse a marketing process, see what needs to be done, collaborate with stakeholders and come up with the simplest way to do this, doing away with red tape where you can and keeping it simple where you can’t.

  • Using member insights, embracing human centered design and applying strategic thinking to identify opportunities to improve and scale member experiences and communciation strategies across our CARE program of work.

  • You won’t be alone, whilst you can work autonomously you’ll be working with an experienced team of member communication marketers to build an initiatives roadmap.

  • Working with the Marketing Lead and Essentials Communications Delivery Team lead to understand member communication trends and opportunities to drive best practise.

  • Taking some time to recharge your batteries and encouraging others to do the same – you might grab a takeaway coffee and head out for a walking one on one with a team member, get to the gym for a lunchtime class or block out calendar time to attend to your childs school assembly

What about you?

This role would be a perfect match for an experienced Marketing Manager with a strong desire to discover, collaborate and problem solve combined with a love of cutting out the red tape to maximise process improvements and efficiencies.

We will need you to bring your strong end to end campaign management and delivery experience along with a willingness to think ahead to pro-actively problem solve and contribute to the team .You’ll need to be a pro at pivoting – we want you have a view of the big picture and customer needs balanced with detail thinking to help problem solve and deliver outcomes.  This is a fast paced environment with lots of opportunities to help shape experiences so you need to be comfortable in juggling.

An effective communicator, you will be able to engage with a range of stakeholders to achieve great results for the business.

Other must haves for the role include:

  • Experience in a data driven Marketing campaign role.

  • Experience in human centred design, strategy or innovation role.

  • Experience in a highly regulated, high profile brand environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including ability to create a compelling message and production of briefing documents.

  • Experience using Adobe AEM web building software would be a plus.
