THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic who is enthusiastic and can lead and co-ordinate the electrical needs within the factory, must be reliable, practical and proactive to join our Maintenance Team at Hume Masterpanel.
As an Electrical Team Leader/co-ordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance, inspections and new installations are to approved standards. for the purpose of maintaining the operational efficiency of our plant running 24 hours a day 5 days a week. A proactive approach is essential to seek out ways of improving plant performance and reliability, it’s also essential to actively promote and support all continuous improvement programs.
This is a full-time position, 38hr week Monday to Friday
As a member of the maintenance team you will:
- Hold a current QLD Electrical Trade Certificate/Licence, with switchboard resus and First Aid
- Demonstrated experience in the breakdown repair and preventative maintenance on manufacturing plant and equipment;
- Be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of equipment
- Assess and prioritise breakdown needs to maintain efficient production.
- Work in a manner which has safety as a priority.
- Work closely with, and assist other trades, doing whatever is needed to maintain the plant.
- Maintain effective communication with factory staff and managers to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.
It would be advantageous to have:
- Extensivefault finding skills, diagnosing and fixing plc systems maintaining them at optimum operating levels (Allen Bradley Rslogix 500 and Siemens S5, S7-Step 7 and WinCC ).
- Experience with instrumentation and process control
- Computer skills (including MS Office, word, excel).
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience within the manufacturing sector.
- A current EWP and Forklift ticket.
- A certificate in HV switching
