Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

We are an Electrical contracting business in Hervey Bay working in residential and commercial construction spaces. We have been operating for 20 years with consistent growth and require a qualified Electrical Estimator/Project Manager.  You will operate out of our Hervey Bay office.

To be considered for this role, you should be able to hold or demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Estimating experience working on residential & commercial projects
• Trade qualification in the electrical industry and sound on site experience
• Able to demonstrate experience of working on a diverse range of projects (retail, education, housing, commercial infrastructure etc)
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, evaluate and interpret a range of complex and technical documents
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Strong attention to detail, and accurate reporting skills
• Working knowledge of MS Software & Simpro
• A good understanding of business principles would be highly advantageous
• A good attitude towards helping our business grow would be advantageous and very rewarding to the correct candidate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

The role will involve:

• First Principle Estimating
• Developing accurate estimates for projects 
• Evaluating bid specifications and review plans and drawings
• Building relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Providing consultation on planning eg. schedules and labour
• Participating in tender reviews
• Obtaining and reviewing offers and quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Producing material take-offs
• Quote preparation
• Contribute to the company culture in a positive manner
