About the Role
As our business evolves, we are seeking two proficient electricians to join our team on a 2:1 roster on a 6-month contract or an 8:6 permanent role at our Beverley mine site. This presents as an excellent chance to ignite your career in 2024 and contribute significantly to crucial project objectives for the maintenance team.
Duties include, however not limited to the following.
- Preventative maintenance tasks. Testing & tagging.
- Monitoring, improvement, repairs and scheduled servicing on generators and power systems of plant and equipment.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment (pumps, mixers, switches, programmable controllers, lighting, and heating units).
- Diagnose, repair / replace and test malfunctioning apparatus and electronic components (printed circuit boards, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures).
- Replace faulty electrical components of machinery (relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices).
- Plan layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Ensure all equipment and tools in your care, custody or control is properly maintained and kept in a safe working condition.
- Ensure all equipment, spare parts and consumables are requested (as specified from technical drawings and manuals) in a timely manner.
- Undertake testing and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Other duties as reasonably required within the scope of the employee’s skills and experience.
- Trade qualifications as an "A" Class Electrician.
- Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.
- Testing & Tagging Electrical Equipment Licence.
- B Class Gas certificate (install & service type B gas appliances).
- Master Cabler Electrical Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience with High Voltage switching.
- Experience in similar role within mining or mineral processing.
