Opportunities Available: We are seeking motivated Electricians and Trade Assistants to join our growing team in the Sutherland Shire. Reporting to the electrical supervisor and working 7am-3pm Monday to Friday, you will perform a crucial role in our electrical projects, focusing on the installation, and upgrade of electrical systems in Industrial Plants, switch rooms and Hazardous Areas.   

Electricians Responsibilities:

• Install new industrial grade and Hazardous Area rated equipment. 
• Interpret and follow electrical drawings and work scopes. 
• Ensure all work complies with Australian standards and site requirements. 
• Install, gland and terminate cables, including SWA and barrier glands. 
• Mandatory testing and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
• Installation and wiring of distribution boards, control and instrumentation panels and main switchboards.  

Requirements for Electricians:

• Demonstrated experience in operating industrial environments. 
• A desire to excel and drive successful outcomes. 
• Valid Australian Electrical Supervisors Licence.
• Valid Australian Drivers Licence and personal transport.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Provide your own electrical hand tools and basic battery tools. 

The following would be highly regarded:

• Electrical Equipment in Hazardous areas (EEHA) qualifications and installation experience.  
• EWP (Over 11m) Ticket.  
• Current LVR/CPR Training.

Trade Assistants Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage tools and materials needed on a day to day basis.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and assist the electrical team in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Assist in the installation of electrical equipment, cable ladder and supports, pulling and dressing cables. 
• Ensure tasks are completed to the expectations of the group.

Requirements for Trade Assistant:

• Previous experience in a practical role.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Physical fitness for manual tasks and eagerness to develop your skill base.
• Valid Australian Drivers Licence and personal transport. 

The following would be highly regarded:

• Prior experience working on electrical projects. 
• Forklift Licence. 
• EWP (Over 11m) Ticket.
