Cleared are working with a global leader in passive radar systems & are looking to speak to Electronic Technicians with 2/3 years' experience who are based in Adelaide.
The ideal candidate has experience in electronic assembly/and or manufacturing, has basic knowledge of radio frequency theory and is skilled in handling various test equipment. They must be proactive and willing to grow and develop their career as an Electronics Technician with a truly innovative company!
The Electronics Technician reports to the Hardware Team Lead and is ultimately responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining SD'S passive radar products. They are an active, hands-on team member who is our reliable go-to person, to source components, support our products and play an integral role in the manufacturing and quality assurance of the products that we make.
Success in the role will be measured by the extent to which the Electronics Technician can contribute to design activities, support assembly and testing of hardware components, support field trials and assist in the creation of engineering documentation.
You will need a positive personality with good written and verbal skills. Also, someone who can show initiative & able to time manage and prioritise tasks in order of importance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & BEHAVIOURS
- Support to the SD hardware team.
- Procurement and evaluation of hardware components.
- Performing bench testing of various systems and sub-systems including fault finding and trouble shooting.
- Support to SD passive radar trials and field activities.
- Installation of antenna arrays and supporting system components.
- Contributing to the organisation and logistics of field activities
- Working with the SD hardware team to prepare systems for trials activities.
- Participation in field activities.
- Assist with product development activities.
- Works with SD staff and contractors to support design and testing activities relating to product development.
- Maintains product development artefacts such as bill of materials (BOM), circuit diagrams and design documents.
- Assist with the review process of product documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering/ Cert III in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Australian citizen (able to obtain an NV1 security clearance)
- 3+ years of qualified experience working within an established team focusing on electronic assembly and/or manufacturing.
- Completed a technical apprenticeship.
- Prototype manufacturing skills such as soldering, mounting components, working with looms and connectors.
- Experience in component selection and procurement
- Experience in interpreting and understanding technical information from circuit diagrams or data sheets.
- Experience in the use of specialised hand tools
- Experience in using various laboratory test equipment.
- You must meet ITAR requirements for employees.
