About the role
This role is responsible for planning and building Email Marketing Campaigns and automation for our National retail portfolio and to increase conversion, engage, retain, and reactivate subscribers improving customer experience across the customer lifecycle. Responsible for driving improved customer experience, you will develop highly personalised email content and copy for all shopping segments, along with end-to-end campaign management associated with those communications. This position will bring a customer-led mindset along with theoretical and technical knowledge of Email Marketing, data, automated customer journeys and database marketing.
A strategic but also hands-on role, you will get to build and schedule eDMs, analyse results and apply learnings for future campaigns and partner with the retail marketing team to deliver best practice Email Marketing practices across our national portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include
- Lead the development and execution of effective national direct marketing strategies. You'll be responsible for all facets of driving:
o Database engagement by delivering the related campaign tactics, like competitions end-to-end
o Re-engagement and list hygiene for inactive members
- You will champion improving and enriching data capture and management to enable segmentation, automation, and analytics programs
- Craft compelling content for email campaigns that resonate with diverse and targeted audiences
- Manage and maintain a framework of best practice guidelines for decentralised deployment of ad-hoc Email Marketing activity
- Support of BAU activity, campaigns, or other identified opportunities, deliver central and triggered/automated database marketing communication across multiple direct channels including email and SMS
- Collaborate and influence teams across marketing to align local and national campaign efforts with overall business goals
- Analyse & report on email and campaign performance and optimise strategies for maximum effectiveness
- Working with multiple teams, you will be excellent at stakeholder management, coordination and collaboration
- Deliver Email Marketing performance reporting and engage in actions to optimise the performance of Email Marketing activity. Effectively communicate the National direct marketing focus, strategy, targets, tactics, and performance measures to the broader business
To be successful in this role you will bring with you, together with your passion for email and digital marketing;
- A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in marketing with a focus on B2C email, database marketing
- Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is essential, and you'll bring experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external), you possess strong stakeholder management, coordination, and collaboration skills
- Excellence in Email marketing and SMS copywriting, best practices, and compliance
- You will be an excellent verbal and written communicator
- Understanding of the property industry and key customer groups is preferable but open to industries
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
- Reporting and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Able to utilise/adapt to marketing technology systems
- Demonstrates a problem-solving attitude and pro-active 'can do' approach
- eCommerce experience preferred but not essential
- Big picture perspective but also see and deliver on detail
- Appropriate tertiary qualification
