This role will also ensure ongoing alignment with polices, standards and legislation regarding EoLC for SVHNS, and engages in monitoring, identification and reporting on risks associated with EoLC..

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic nurse or social worker who possess a passion for person centred care.

Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (APHRA) OR degree in social work from an accredited course providing eligibility for the membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- For nursing, at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she/they are appointed or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. For social workers, experience in oncology, palliative care, end-of-life care, advance care planning or in caring for patients with complex and/or life limiting conditions
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and with a high degree of motivation and capability.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, engage and collaborate with key stakeholders and foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience in implementing and monitoring compliance with regards to policy and procedure
- High level interpersonal negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance health care systems including quality improvement, monitoring and analysing data.
