We have an exciting opportunity in the Data Analytics Services team for an Engineer, Data and Business Intelligence.

Reporting into the Operations Lead, you will be part of the support team working closely with digital healthcare specialists, corporate product, data & intelligence analytics and technology professionals, creating and continuously improving an analytics product suite ensuring operational excellence and enhancing the performance, responsiveness, and accountability of our Data Analytics Services.

What you will do

As a Support Engineer, you will play an integral role in maintaining and optimising our application interfaces. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing operational issues related to DAS applications to ensure continuous and effective service delivery for our analytics solutions.
  • Proactively identifying trends and issues, proposing initiatives, and working with internal teams and external providers to permanently resolve concerns with Data Analytics Service analytics offerings.

  • Collaborating with the support team, applications team, business analysts, and vendors to resolve issues, ensuring analytics solutions are effective, sustainable and resilient.

  • Monitoring application interfaces to proactively identify and address potential issues impacting the use of the analytics product, ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.

  • Provisioning user security within the Oracle Cloud environments.

  • Resolving support tickets (incidents, problems, requests, and changes) in a timely manner to ensure resolution is within service level agreement-defined timeframes and satisfy customer expectations.

  • Working with the development team to effectively deploy production changes.

  • Executing periodic activities related to financial month-end close and application data interfaces. 

  • Support the internal team in fulfilling annual compliance and audit activities.

  •  Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team knowledge base, ensuring that solutions to known issues are up-to-date, well-documented, and easily accessible.

About you

The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

  • Substantial knowledge and hands-on experience in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Power BI, and Oracle SQL.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle Hyperion EPM, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Informatica, and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise using your strong SQL skill to write, analyse, and troubleshoot SQL code.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in Windows and Unix operating systems, Microsoft Excel, batch file programming, shell scripting, SQL scripting and advanced Excel skills.
  •  Proven experience as a support analyst working on Business Intelligence applications in a large and complex service industry, utilising ITIL and ITOM platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated support experience involving data loads, security maintenance, ETL, performance tuning, server monitoring and job scheduling. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system issues. Coordination with other teams to resolve issues on various system dependencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively addressing customer Data and product related queries in a timely manner.
  • Proven organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.
  • A customer-centric, growth mindset in continuously improving your knowledge, business products and Business processes to exceed customer expectations and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form-IM011 form). Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

To be eligible for this role, you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).

Please note, pursuant to the Award which governs the employment conditions of this role, 'Exempt' is defined as a fixed term contract with a length greater than 13 weeks.
