The Role
If you have already gained a few years of engineering experience in drainage and stormwater asset design and are convinced you want to continue with your career in engineering, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The role requires the ability to manage and prioritise multiple and varying engineering assessments concurrently including Stormwater Management Strategies for greenfield subdivisions, functional design reviews of significant stormwater management infrastructure including pipelines, waterways, wetlands and retarding basins. The role will also have involvement in providing technical engineering advice to Melbourne Water Statutory Planners to assist in the assessment and response to development and subdivision permit referrals from Council.
This is an exciting and varied role that offers the opportunity for significant professional growth while contributing to the shaping of Melbourne’s newest communities for the future and for generations to come.

You will be guided to undertake technical engineering assessments , provide clear advice, make informed engineering decisions and exercise sound engineering judgement. Our team is passionate about the work we do and you will be as passionate as we are.
About YOU
We are seeking a qualified Civil or Environmental Engineer with 2-3 years’ experience and ideally in stormwater management. As a customer facing role, well developed written and communication skills are critical for success in this position. We hope you get excited from working in areas such as stormwater asset design, stormwater and drainage design, catchment modelling (which includes hydrological modelling, hydraulic design and stormwater quality modelling), project management and civil and land development because we do! If you have technical experience in any of these areas we want to hear from you.
YOU will learn negotiation skills which will be utilised as you navigate complex issues, conversations, expectations and the general demands and priorities of the role. You have a work style that naturally lends itself to contributing to an inclusive workplace culture that is collaborative, professional and engaged.
