The Opportunity
An exciting entry level opportunity has become available for an Engineering Bill of Materials Coordinator to join our Engineering team, to kick start their career.
The Engineering department at PACCAR Australia is the centre of design for all Kenworth trucks built in Australia. A manufacturing success story, this department has been designing trucks for more than 50 years.
This role is crucial to the department and its primary function is to assess and analyse each truck’s Bill of Materials (BOM – list of parts) to ensure accuracy according to our customers vast requirements. Working mostly autonomously, but with some collaboration with other sections, the successful candidate will clarify and ensure accuracy across all BOM configurations, utilizing various software tools, CAD models and design detail in ensuring our orders meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate data input into ERP software system
- Liaising with various business units (Sales, Design, Materials, Production) to ensure customers requirements are accurate as per dealer order
- Reviewing customer truck orders and ensuring engineering BOMs meet the customized requirements
- Processing Customer option requests
- Reviewing engineering chassis layouts and design drawings
- Analyse changes and errors to determine cause and recommend actions for improvement
