Position Overview

Seeking engineer managers that are passionate about growing highly impactful teams by balancing efficiency and excellence. Ideal candidates thrive in teamwork, drive innovation, and ensure product integrity while valuing autonomy and creativity. Key Responsibilities

  • Balance Impact and Growth-As an Engineering Manager, you balance rapid delivery with team growth, prioritizing efficient product delivery. You adeptly manage both your personal and team development alongside project advancement.
  • Foster Teamwork and Collaboration-You cultivate a collaborative environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and support to achieve collective goals in both remote and in-office settings.
  • Lead Operational Excellence-Overseeing daily operations, you lead release trains, manage incidents, and conduct postmortems, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Technical Excellence and Innovation-Responsible for your team's excellence, you balance innovation with enhancing existing products to maintain high standards.
  • Lead with Autonomy and Vision-Valuing autonomy, you inspire creative problem-solving, providing direction and support for innovative solutions.
  • Champion Quality and Accountability-Upholding quality standards, you instill a sense of shared responsibility and educate on best practices, adept at issue resolution and quality advocacy.
  • Cultivate Passion and Drive for Excellence-Building dynamic teams, you foster a culture of passion, excellence, openness, and innovation, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer value.
  • Empower Career Advancement-Focused on professional growth, you lead by example, supporting career enhancement to make each team member feel valued and positioned for success.

Qualifications

  • We are looking for someone that was at least a senior engineer prior to becoming an Engineering Manager.
  • We are looking for a leader that can plan and execute a sprint, negotiating with the Product Manager and the Technical Lead to get the best balance of new product, product enhancement, bug fixes and maintenance work.
  • We are looking for someone who can lead a release train. Working with stakeholders to get the required input, plan effectively, and manage a production release.
  • We are primarily a .NET-focused team, any experience with C#, SQL Server, and .NET technologies (MVC, Web API, .NET Core) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for our international, multi-locational team dynamics.
  • Familiarity with the full software development life cycle and engineering best practices is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is needed.
