The Exciting Role:
Reporting directly through to the Head of Safety & Sustainability, we are looking for a highly motivated Environment, Health & Safety Coordinator to provide support to our People Leaders and WH&S committees by developing, implementing and monitoring EH&S practices in line with our safety & sustainability strategy, management system and in compliance with relevant legislation.
In this exciting full time permanent role, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Providing support and advice on a diverse range of WHS activities and technical matters relating to manufacturing, warehousing, field sales and head office administration
- Regular reporting of site performance
- Ownership of incident investigation lifecycle including: reporting, management and subsequent resolution actioning to prevent re-occurrences and mitigate risk
- Maintaining, implementing, and continuously improving the national safety management system including completing risk assessments, audits, inspections, contractor management activities, and writing procedures/toolbox talks, supporting site leadership team, WH&S committee meetings and HSRs to drive a positive safety culture and effectively communicate safety expectations
- Working closely with various stakeholders to ensure safety and environmental considerations are effectively addressed
- Facilitating and coordinating training programs
The successful candidate will be required to travel between our Victorian sites in Clayton South, Noble Park, and Mulgrave with some remote working possible.
To thrive in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and/or undergraduate degree in Health & Safety / Environment or similar
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a production/warehousing environment.
- Demonstrated experience creating and implementing safety initiatives or change management
- Excellent time management skills the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
- Good working knowledge of safety compliance systems
