Support Services
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services. The General Services Department at Monash Children's Hospital is now looking for a motivated, friendly person to join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant (Waste Logistics).

Friday, Saturday and Sunday Commencing at 3.00pm
(45 hours per fortnight)
About the Role
This role plays an important part in supporting clinical effectiveness and efficient operation of wards in the Monash Children's Hospital. In joining our team, you'll be kept busy moving waste from the hospital to the supply and waste area of the hospital.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Removing general waste and recycling from the wards
- Removal and replacement of specialty waste such as sharps bins
- Reliable and punctual, honest and trustworthy
- Self-motivated and not afraid of hard work
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Be fit and able to spend your whole shift on your feet
- Ability to manoeuvre trolleys and to safely use towing equipment
- Good customer service skills, you'll be communicating with ward staff and visitors
- You will get to work with a great team of people
- Be close to public transport or onsite parking is available
- Make a contribution to the smooth operation of the Monash Children's Hospital
