What you will be working on?
This position will prepare quotes and tenders by interpreting detailed scopes of works, specifications, and drawings for all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, civil works, construction, general maintenance, waste, and potable water management.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of Junior Estimators, providing guidance, training and support.
- Participate in pre-contract negotiations and tender reviews with senior management.
- Provide continual updates on current tenders and quotes to management and seek assistance where required.
- Identifying qualified subcontractors and suppliers and provide the necessary information for them to be able to supply detailed quotations in accordance with the scope of works.
What type of Person will be successful?
- You will be a driven individual with leadership qualities and the desire to manage a team.
- Technical knowledge of construction, building and civils processes.
- Proven estimating management experience.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Project budgeting and advanced project reporting skills
- Thorough knowledge of construction and civil contracts
