About the role
This position is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating a high-quality program of internal and external events to promote Avivo's profile, improve brand awareness and increase engagement. The role works collaboratively with Communications and Engagement team members and the wider organisation to execute events that are aligned with Avivo's purpose and goals to build exposure and reputation.
Event coordination - internal and external:
Manage the events calendar and budgetensuring detailed event plans, budgets, and post event return on investment analysisfor each event.
Deliver brand-based events, and community events and campaigns.
Deliver employee and customer engagementevents.
Negotiate contracts for venues, catering,audio-visual equipment, signage, on-site production, and post-event details.
- Specify staff requirementsand coordinate their activities.
Proactively manage andtroubleshoot any emerging problems during events.
Provide event support andadvice to Avivo team members.
- Ensure compliance withinsurance, legal, health, and safety obligations.
Manage the brand and event merchandiseincluding ordering and arranging distribution.
Research and identify financially beneficialnew event opportunities to enhance Avivo's event portfolio and profile.
Campaign Support:
- Work closely with the C&E team to coordinate the promotion of events, including advertising, content development, and online presence.
- Uphold ethical communication values and brand guidelines.
Organisational Culture:
- Contribute positively to the C&E Team.
- Support external agency partners and vendors.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Champion organizational values, including diversity and inclusion.
- Work safely within Avivo policies and procedures
Selection criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role of 5 years or more (essential)
- Previous experience in project and event management
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours and support events and activities as required. Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) approach to managing peak work periods.
- Hold and maintain a current Drivers Licence and be prepared to drive (pool cars are available)
- Ability to perform standard office-based tasks including computer use and an ability to life items approximately 15kg weight.
- Demonstrated skills developing relationships and engaging with wide variety of internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, manage budgets, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency using Microsoft 365 suite.
- Display attitudes and behaviors that align with Avivo's essence and purpose.
