We are looking for an experienced corporate event planner who is passionate about helping clients bring people together and achieve their event goals and objectives in creative and meaningful ways.
About The Role
As an experienced Event Manager you will manage a wide variety of client events ranging from meetings, conferences, incentive and social events.
Supported by our senior event producers you will be a self-starter, with responsibility for the management and timely delivery of all event deliverables for the full event life cycle.
Your time will be spent working at our offices in Zetland with the option to balance in-office time with work from home.
You recognise that excellent people skills and a “can-do” attitude, coupled with a high level of discipline, prioritisation and organisation are what’s required to succeed.
This key role empowers you with the opportunity to manage a diverse client event portfolio, and ultimately take responsibility for delivering exceptional events you can be proud of.
Key Duties Include
- Plan and execute client corporate events across meeting, conference, incentive, gala and social events.
- Coordinate full scale event logistics, including creative, communications, registration, attendee tracking, presentational and materials, AV, catering, entertainment and pre / post-event evaluations.
- Act as key client contact, present concepts and proposals and obtain approvals.
- 360 stakeholder communications and reporting.
- Track and report on spend against budgets.
- Procure and coordinate vendor services.
- Serve as onsite representative and coordinator of onsite logistics and event production.
- Confidently and professionally report on concepts and progress updates to management and clients.
- Support the wider team as required.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Ideal: 3+ years as an active corporate event planner with hands-on experience.
- Must be organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, vendors and internal team.
- Confident in working with and presenting information to management and executives.
- Skilled in negotiating commercial terms for event-related contracts.
- Ability to be flexible and provide support outside of job description.
- Working knowledge of CVENT / EventsAir (or other event mgt software) and G suite. (Apple mac desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of virtual event production beneficial, not essential.
