Purpose of the roleReporting to our Senior Specialist – Events and Communication, this exciting position will support in the coordination and delivery of the strategic events program that assist the business to achieve its objectives through event-based engagement with internal and external audiences. You will support the successful delivery of event-related communication and to add further variety this position also supports the Head of Group Communication and the portfolio more broadly and the divisional executive, the Chief Customer and Digital Innovation Officer.Your efforts will contribute to enhancing our presence, building brand, improving customer and community trustworthiness and reputation, building relationships, and positively impacting the communities we serve. What will your key responsibilities include? Support NGM Group (incorporating Newcastle Permanent, Greater Bank, Greater Charitable Foundation and Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation) events program including coordination for these events, including but not limited to Excellence Awards, Connects, Town Halls, major corporate events (eg Premium Banking), and stakeholder events (internal and external).Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution and promotion of Events and activities.Ensure all administrative tasks relevant to the event program, including but not limited to event plans, bookings, invoice payments and reconciliations are completed in a professional and timely manner.Assist in the coordination and implementation of communications activities for events including publishing articles on the group intranet and invitation management.Assist in maintaining and updating relevant policies and procedures. Qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent industry experience (desirable). Event management experience (desirable).Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours is an essential requirement of this role.
