Events Coordinator and Marketing Assistant

Our Brisbane office is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Events Coordinator and Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager and Director responsible for Marketing, you would be performing the following activities to support both our Brisbane and Gold Coast offices:
• Coordinate and manage events, from initiation, management during events to post event evaluations
• Engage with speakers and presenters in the preparation of event planning
• Manage partnerships and sponsorships from initiation to ongoing relationship retention and rapport
• Assist with marketing items such as social posts, branded collateral and presentations
• Maintenance of firm intranet, internal marketing and databases
• Organise William Buck staff social club
• Create presentations aligned with event topics and branding requirements
• Event promotion and branding, such as merchandise, banners and collateral requirements
• Maintain registrations and leads from events, including registration and complimentary booking pages
• Coordinate the catering of food and beverages
• Film/record events, including editing, ready for publication to attendees, registrants, and leads
• Podcast recording, editing and planning with speakers
• Content creation on directed tasks / projects
The Person
To be considered for this position, ideally you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
• Degree qualified in Marketing/Communications/Event Management
• Previous experience working in a professional/corporate services environment (ideal but not a necessity)
• Experience in event management or planning
• Attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with using EDM software (such as Marketo)
• Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite of products, particularly InDesign and Photoshop (you do not need to be a graphic designer)
• Fast learner and shows initiative
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to work in a timely and professional manner
• Able to multitask with a number of deadlines to be completed at any one time
