Position Summary:
- Rise with us and identify and secure new group & catering opportunities & effectively coordinate & execute the properties' meetings, events and wedding functions
- Handle and follow up with event enquiries, proactively meeting the guest needs
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders for upcoming functions, meetings, conferences and events, focusing on attention to detail
- Oversee banquet set ups prior to commencement of events and functions
- Prepare detailed proposals and contracts that are tailored to client requirements
- Support the hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty and overall wellbeing by engaging and inspiring guests through each customer experience
- Plan and conduct high end site inspections and entertainment with a focus on conversion
- Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests, creating intimate and distinctive experiences to enable future bookings
- Act as a wellbeing ambassador and promote awareness for The Westin brand
- Facilitate the design and creation of printed material, payment posting and other general administration support
- Provide quality of service and exceed guest expectations, proactively meeting the guest needs
