The Mid-Western Region is located in the Central Tablelands of

As the Mid-Western Region continues to grow and prosper at a
steady rate, Council now employs over 450 staff members and has an exciting
opportunity for a full-time Executive Administration Assistant to work with and support the Executive Assistant to the GM and Mayor in
providing efficient secretarial and administrative support to the General
Manager and the Executive Team.
Key Accountabilities
- To
meet the administrative requirements of the General Manager’s department in a
timely and accurate manner. - To
assist the Executive Assistant to the General Manager and Mayor with
administrative tasks like, but not limited to; actioning correspondence in ELO
(Council’s Electronic Record Management System), booking of meeting rooms,
conferences, accommodation, travel arrangements, ordering of stationery,
catering and updating of Council’s website. - To
develop and implement processes to ensure the effective and efficient flow of
information and documents including Council’s Business Papers to the General
Manager, Executive, Mayor and Councillors. - To
administer and manage civic ceremonies and receptions (such as citizenship
ceremonies) as requested from time to time. - To
actively promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements
of the Workplace Environment Statement.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Advance knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Word, Powerpoint and Outlook applications.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a
similar position. - Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud,
particularly with Indesign and Acrobat Pro applications. - Demonstrated ability in complex document
preparation. - Comprehensive administration skills.
- Proactive and self-sufficient,
- Confident communicator with excellent oral and
written communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to meet pre-determined
deadlines. - Demonstrated organisational and time
management skills. - High attention to detail.
- Advanced level of spelling and grammar.
- Solid working ability to handle difficult
situations confidently and sensitively, and manage information of a
confidential nature effectively and with discretion. - Knowledge of workplace health and safety
responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant WHS training.
The salary range being offered for the position of Executive Administration Assistant is $2443 - $2750 per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications
and experience) plus superannuation, an RDO every 4 weeks and
long service leave after 5 years.
