Your role:
As the Executive Assistant you will provide a range of executive and secretarial support and confidential administrative services to support the activities of the Principal/Executive Principal and school/college.
Responsibilities include:
* Provide confidential executive administrative support to the HOS Senior School, including minute taking and distribution.
* Maintain effective time management practices for the HOS including managing electronic diary appointments, prioritising correspondence and minimising unnecessary interruptions
* Monitor and screen incoming telephone calls and correspondence through Senior School and where necessary direct these to the appropriate areas.
* Produce advanced desktop published documents and reports.
* Create and monitor spreadsheets to monitor expenditure and provide reports.
* Purchase various items for staff using corporate card and maintain all associated paperwork for reconciliation of statements.
* Supervise and mentor Senior School administrative officers
* On behalf of the HOS, liaise with government, business, industry, parent and education bodies, with a focus on a high level of client services.
* Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the HOS, or nominated delegate.
Our ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience, having previously supported Principals or a similar role. A keen eye for detail, high proficiency in Microsoft Office, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential. The fast-paced environment demands an ability to work under pressure, showcasing a flexible and proactive approach. The role requires the continuous assessment and prioritisation of tasks and an innate ability to switch gears to achieve desired outcomes. The understanding of how to balance autonomy and team work is essential.
