About the Executive Director, Infrastructure Planning and Delivery
Reporting to the Deputy Director-General HCD, this leadership role has overall responsibility and Delivery of all aspects of major capital programs through HCD. You will be an industry leader providing expert advice throughout Planning and Delivery of capital programs and projects in alignment with defined requirements, performance parameters, contemporary practice and governance arrangements.
You will lead stakeholder engagement with the various HHSs, government agencies and key strategic partners. Reporting to the Deputy Director-General HCD, you will represent HCD in interactions with the Health Minister, senior government executives, commercial partners and industry representatives.
About youThe successful candidate will have leadership experience and a record leading successful Planning and Delivery of major infrastructure programs. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. You will additionally have experience in preparing and presenting high quality and politically sensitive reports to key stakeholders within and outside of large and complex organisations. Your experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams within a complex service delivery environment is essential.

About Health Capital DivisionHealth Capital Division (HCD) plans and delivers flexible, future-fit infrastructure that enables sustainable world-class healthcare to all Queenslanders by partnering across the ecosystem to innovate and design people-centred infrastructure that supports Hospital and Health Services to meet local needs. The division provides client-focused support to achieve quality-built environment solutions for the individual needs of its clients. In partnership with HHSs, HCD plans and delivers the Queensland Health Capital program, provides expert advice to effectively manage assets and property, as well as monitor and report on the performance of our statewide capital and asset management programs.
The division undertakes significant infrastructure business case planning on behalf of the system and leads the delivery of major infrastructure projects. The division also leads the development of practical and innovative solutions to mitigate disruption and risk to delivery of the health portfolio capital program including the development of design principles to support consistent, high quality health service delivery through standardised spaces informed by past learnings, future trends and clinical evidence towards adaptable standardised designs.
Health Capital Division has been on a significant transformational journey during the last 15 months since formal establishment as HCD in October 2022. HCD is now responsible for all Infrastructure Planning and Delivery for Queensland Health to implement a nearly $15 billion pipeline of work fully funded, announced and committed and managing the business cases for future investments.
