Role Details
Provide leadership, strategic advice and support to the Premier and Cabinet on matters of Social Policy, national and Intergovernmental Relations and security and emergency management with a view to pursuing South Australia’s economic, social and environmental policy interests. Negotiate the best possible outcomes for the state in key intergovernmental forums, particularly the National Cabinet. Provide sound across government leadership in the development of strategic Social Policy and projects in accordance with the priorities of the South Australian Government. Lead teams focussed on the delivery of the Government’s Intergovernmental Relations objectives; Social Policy priorities; and state level disaster and recovery, emergency and security management.
Special Conditions
The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
This role requires a National Criminal History check.
