Salary: UOM 7 – $106,432 - $115,211 p.a. plus 17% super

About the Role

The Executive Officer & Coordinator at Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and governance of the organisation. This position supports the AURIN team, senior management, board, and committees by providing high-level coordination, project management, and administrative assistance. Reporting to the Head of Operations and Strategy, the incumbent will oversee essential functions such as diary management, system monitoring, document preparation, and office coordination, while also contributing to workforce and workspace planning. This role is integral to facilitating AURIN's mission to support urban research aimed at addressing critical issues like climate change and urban sustainability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate a vibrant, professional, and welcoming work environment for the team and guests by managing AURIN’s office and facilities and working with the team, to ensure they are maintained in excellent order.
  • Coordinate the workflow and documentation for the AURIN Director and coordinate closely with the Leadership Team and AURIN shared calendar to ensure optimal information flow between the Director and Leadership Team and the wider team as appropriate
  • Provide Executive Officer support for AURIN committees to elevate their ability to deliver their objectives, including the Leadership Team and board committees (Management Board; Finance & Risk Management Committee, Scientific Advisory Committee, Industry Advisory Council, etc.).

Who We Are Looking For

You will have outstanding organisational skills, with a proven track record of providing high-quality advice and management support to senior staff. Your excellent communication, negotiation, and time management abilities will enable you to prioritise effectively and excel in a dynamic environment.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience. 
  • Experience in research infrastructure or research management.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
