Experience Program Manager (372983)

We are looking for an Experience Program Manager to oversee the delivery of familiarisation programs for our key media, trade and influencer partners through your deep understanding of Tasmania.

As a member of the Partnerships team, you will manage the delivery of the Experience Program and interact with industry partners and tourism operators. You will foster a connected team, and your knowledge across the industry and extensive experience in building itineraries will inform your decision making to ensure our visitation programs are relevant and show the best of Tasmania so our state is championed by those who experience it.

You will be commercially aware, have agility to adapt to changing circumstances, and understand the importance of strong relationships. Your creativity, can do attitude, and collaborative style will encourage your team to develop, champion and drive our incredible Tasmanian tourism experiences.

What you'll be responsible for

• Providing exceptional Experience Programs to key stakeholders through your deep understanding of Tasmania and how to translate that into meaningful familiarisation programs for partners to experience.
• Establishing best practice operational and reporting mechanisms, ways of working and communicating the value of programs to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Sharing your knowledge across the team and the broader agency, ensuring you are well connected to all Tasmanian tourism operators.

What you'll work on

• Lead, develop and mentor the Experience Program Team, share knowledge across the team to support ongoing learning and skill development.
• Manage the delivery of the Experience program including ongoing refinement of booking processes, itinerary development, systems use and procedures to ensure best practice elements are in place to deliver the program.
• Manage a robust reporting program, focussed on ROI, key learnings and insights pertaining to on-ground visits, that is shared broadly across agency.
• Apply commercial acumen and understanding of business needs (both from a partner and Tourism industry perspective) in the delivery of the program and in the relationship management with stakeholders.
• Drive expertise across the team on the ‘Tasmanian product’ and ensure this information is shared proactively across the partnership team along with the entire Tourism Tasmania team.
• Manage the Tourism Tasmania contracted tour guides and continue to innovate and develop this with the right people. Incorporate these learnings into developing a Tourism Tasmania hosting program that provides an ultimate visitor experience.
