About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor with strong mixology experience to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. As the Bar Supervisor at The Atlantic Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of service at our bar. You will be responsible for assisting with overseeing daily bar operations, supervising a team of talented bartenders, and ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable experience.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Coordinate the operations of the bar area, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and motivate a team of bartenders to deliver exceptional service and uphold quality standards.
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Train new team members on beverage preparation, service standards, and product knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed, while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement innovative cocktail recipes and seasonal beverage menus to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed expectations.
About you
You will be passionate about delivering the ultimate experience to our team and guests. Equally you will be passionate about hospitality, and have at least 2 years experience as a Bar Supervisor in a high volume restaurant.
In addition, you will need to have the following but not limited to:
- Proficiency in cocktail mixology techniques and a passion for creating unique and delicious drinks.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Knowledge of beverage trends, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits
- Experience with stocktake and ordering
- Right to work in Australia
- Available and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- A valid RSA certificate
