About the opportunity:
We are on the hunt for experienced Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to join the team and help us make our vision come true. We are looking for passionate and motivated people who are keen for a challenge and are committed to producing the very best at all times. Chef positions demand a high level of experience, organisation & contemporary flair to produce elegant, unforgettable food experiences.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen (including running service, mis-en-place, minimising wastage and ordering) and for leading by example and maintaining the high standard in the absence of the Head Chef.
The Chef de Partie will be involved in mis-en-place, service, plating, stock rotation and general cleaning/organisation. This position will provide the opportunity to learn from some of the best.
Requirements from you
- Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
- Previous experience in busy cafe, restaurant and/or fine-dining environments
- Creativity and knowledge of current food trends
- Takes great pride and passion in the food you produce
- Aptitude for preparation and planning, with strong organisational skills
- A natural team player who is happy to do their own thing when necessary but also loves the synergy of a great team
- Personal presentation & communication skills are imperative, along with a positive energy & attitude!
- Driven, ambitious and committed!
- Calm and collected - keeps a clear head and stays focused when it gets busy
- Flexibility to work both daytime and nighttime service is essential
