Northern Rise Village Services (owned by Sirrom Corporation) is a leading provider of hospitality services to the resource and construction sector. Established in 2013, we have a presence in multiple remote locations throughout Australia.
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced senior operator to join our team as Village Manager for a mine-site village operation located in the Goldfields region of remote Western Australia.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Village Manager will have the ability to take ownership of the role, while being able to think outside the square to ensure the smooth operation of the village services as per Northern Rise and site client requirements.
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a FIFO village / project management role. Your experience in this field will be critical in your ability to make an immediate impact to the contract and operations.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the team through a successful mobilisation process.
The point of hire is Perth (WA), working an 8 days on / 6 days off roster.
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate an extremely high level of professionalism when dealing with village residents, visitors and staff
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, resident, colleagues and visitors
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the site-specific scope of works to ensure that contractual requirements are met with the highest level of quality
- Ensure all licensed areas of the site are compliant with relevant legislation, licensing laws and contractual requirements
- Continually encourage and develop the workforce performance in line with the Northern Rise Village Services long term development, training matrix and mentoring opportunities
- Complete all operational reporting documents in an accurate and timely manner
- Attend to all meetings at site and head office when required
- Have sound knowledge of OH&S requirements both legislative and site-specific
- Ensure all employees are competently trained in all aspects of their individual positions
- Ensure the food standards at site are compliant and in line with HACCP plans, Critical Control Point (CCP) and all records and schedules are complaint within the management system
Knowledge, skills and experience needed to perform this role:
- At least 5 years (minimum) prior FIFO village management experience in a remote environment (essential)
- Very well-developed people management skills
- Safety awareness
- Ability to multi-task and organise an ever changing and diverse workload
- A positive attitude toward providing excellent customer services
- Competent computer skills with the ability to learn new system
The successful candidate must possess the following certification:
- National Police Clearance less than 6 months old
- WA Approved Manager's Liquor Licence
- Food Safety for Supervisors Certificate
- Australian Driver's Licence
