We have a position available for Fitter/assembler of Crimsafe security doors and screens at our facility based in Yatala.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Knowledge of the security screen installation and fabrication process is desirable, however full training will be provided.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Fitting/removal of hinged and sliding doors.
- Fitting/removal window screens
- Reading and interpreting job sheets
- Reading and interpreting fabrication instructions
- Preparation of security screen components
- Lifting and handling aluminium extrusions
- Operation of aluminium cutting saw
- Operation of metal cutting guillotine
- Fabrication of quality Crimsafe Security Screens
- Administering production paperwork
- Lifting and handling completed Security Screens
- Assisting with packing customer orders
- Liaising with customers
- Assistance with removal & installation of Security Screens
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have a high degree of accuracy and pride in your work and workplace
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Installation experience of Security Screens would be beneficial but not essential.
- Understand production targets and lead times.
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Be very confident and experienced with hand and power tools.
- Have the ability to work unsupervised and also with others in a team environment.
- Be willing to take direction and respond positively to instructions.
- Have a capacity to liaise with customers in a polite and professional manner.
- Installation experience of Security Screens would be beneficial but not essential.
- Hold a current driver's license.
